![]() ![]() If someone goes to sleep nearby without noticing your presence, you have a really high chance of hitting them with a charge before they can stand up. Plus the charge attack gives Pycno high burst damage and lets you cover gaps much faster than people expect. ![]() So, if you can find a bush or something big enough to hide you, you can still pull off ambushes. But this is compensated by having the fastest sneak speed in the game, and one of the quietest lie down/stand up animations. ![]() Pycno: Biggest drawback is the huge size. And they need at least moderate damage, because you only have a few seconds to hit someone while they are sleeping and you want to actually kill them before they have a chance to get up. Sucho is perfectly positioned to easily outrun and overpower these.Īmbush dinos need stealth, because ideally you want to attack when someone lies down, and nobody will lie down near you if they are aware you are close by. Sucho's prime hunting targets are not-yet-fully-grown apexes. Sucho is safe to play in the sense that he can outrun bigger things and outrun smaller things, but for the same reason, you can't really hunt adult dinos. So your best bet to ambush is to strike from the water like Sarc- but instead of banking everything on the power of a single bite, you can actually chase for a bit on land and get a few smaller bites in. The one advantage is that Sucho has the fastest land speed among the natural sub-aquatics. It has fairly loud footsteps, has a vocal lie down/sit up animation and also one of the slowest animation speeds in the game, runs/swims slower than most anything you would want to ambush, and doesn't have bonebreak or venom to prevent prey from escaping. Sucho is has some serious drawbacks when it comes to ambushing. ![]()
